Admittedly, being a seller of these fashionable kicks, I wasn't aware that there are two versions of Adidas Stan Smith. Moreover, I wasn't also cognizant of the stark difference between these two versions until I saw them with my very own eyes. I did a quick research; and good thing I also found the answer.

The Stan Smith logo on the back of the shoe with the padded tongue or US version (left) is of a darker, richer green and the material isn’t of the same quality as the shoe with the stitched tongue or UK version (leather).
The version with the stitched tongue (left) is more of an off-white colour, while the other is more of a bright white. If you prefer a more striking white, then you may go for the padded tongue version (US).
Hopefully, this post helps. And just so you know, people say that the UK version (stitched tongue) has a better quality and the thin tongue feature is a fashion statement of its own.
